Hi to everybody, it's Friday night over here at 8 o'clock in the evening. I normally have a take away meal on a Friday but I don't have the appetite this week. But yeah, everything is good over here. Getting ready, we've got a big family due on Sunday. So my middle daughter's husband is a tree surgeon so he's coming up on Sunday and he's going to top off some comifers for me, probably six or seven feet off the top of them, bring them back down to a reasonable level. He does it every five or six years. He's also going over to my youngest daughter to top off one of their comifers as well. He's also going to do some antenna work for me. I told him to do the antenna work first, the trees the second. If we run out of time we'll leave the trees, they're not going anywhere. I have probably a 20 foot, two inch diameter scaffold bolted to the side of the house. I've got a 2 inch semi-co-linear diamond X700 on the top. These are 23 feet long but it's just a little bit low. It's not quite clearing the ridge of the roof of the house. I'm going to go up the ladder because he's okay with ladders. Flacken off the U-bolts and then I'll lift up the pole from the bottom and get it up as high as I can. I think I'll clamp it up and then come down and put a few tire wraps to hold the coax on the way down. Then I've got another one in the middle of the back garden which is much easier if it's two handed to pump up mass. It's got a 4 meter extension on the top and then a diamond X510 on the top of that which is about 12 feet long. It's a bit of a mom sausage on the handle on the around. There's even a little bit of wind. It can scratch it out of your hand. I'm going to get him to go up the step ladder, reach up, bring the thing down and then pass it to me on the floor. Two handed. The idea is that if the X700 with its extra 6 or 8 feet works as well as I hope it will then the diamond X510 will come off the pump up mass and be replaced with a 270 Yagi, very high gain. So if I pump that up and get it up to its 30 foot height that should be interesting. But in the meantime tomorrow I'm going to have to go out there and make sure that I've whacked all the weeds back so he can get to where he needs to be.
