Thursday night Echo Link multi-mode neck. Good evening Hank and good evening to all aboard from Whiskey One India Kewell Gym in East Point Michigan just northeast of Detroit. With regard to emergency communications activity, these days not a great deal. There was a time when I was active with Navy Marine Corps Mars and we did a lot, a lot of training. Train, train, train. Train and drill, drill and train. Never was deployed for anything. I was probably involved with them for six or eight years at least and they became more and more stringent on participation hours spent checking into various nets and submitting participation reports and they were all about that. It was much more about that than about anything in my personal opinion that was really practical with regard to what if something happens. Okay I know how to file a sit rep. Okay I know how to pass traffic. I have, my station is in good working order. Alright now what? So it was that. It got to a point where eventually I was shall we say unceremoniously dropped from the active ranks and within about a year there was no more Navy Marine Corps Mars. They got kind of folded in I guess some of the members into Air Force and Army Mars are I guess are all kind of one thing now. Anyway, prior to that I had joined my local hand club, still a member, and the name of the local hand club is the Utica Shelby Emergency Communication Association. Let me break the time.
