Well, wow. You know, it's amazing how I think about 20 years ago they had a hurricane down in Texas area and they had a whole bunch of vacation trailers just up north of Texas and they could have brought those down and temporarily helped the people out. But oh, no, they don't pass code so we can't have them down here. You know, it seems like when there's an emergency you throw the kind of rules out the window and you just help the people. Whatever you can do. You know, I think I'm pretty sure the ham radio community was helping down there and I heard a story that after a week or so FEMA came in and said, well, we don't need you ham radio guys. We'll take it over. I tell you. There were people that were sent to a community sports arena or something down there. Why couldn't the helicopters just drop some water down there for those people? They went to the Coliseum or whatever and I don't think they could use it. So it was kind of weird. But anyway, it's going to be interesting. Here in Portland they said they've got less crime. We don't need the National Guard here. I don't know what the National Guard would do in the city of Portland anyway. There's just buildings down there. But they said crime is down. Well, yeah. The drug people took meth or whatever and died. I don't have much sympathy for them. I would think if we provide some kind of housing, drug counts for people every once in a while, if you're on drugs kick them out on the street again, I say. Santa is kind of harsh that way I guess. But if you're on drugs I don't have much sympathy for you. KB7PDW backing in.
