The key takeaway that I didn't realize existed was the sheer amount of experimentation on the digital side of radio that was going on. And some of these projects are very in-depth and very interesting. Stuff like the Arden network, the IB-400 network, and then stuff like that, I learned that it could be applicable to normal radio, like the EME with SDR, like the level of filtering that they do to pick out signals is really, really cool and could be really helpful. And actually, some of the strategies I use in my repeater, my all-star repeater.
