Well, I'm not sure how many years. They called me Santa Mel at work and that was 25 years ago. Well, I've been retired 21 years now and I used to do the train in Portland at Oaks Park. Oaks Park is like a hundred years old. When I was a kid, I rode the trolley by there. They had trolleys in Portland and people would get off to go to the park. We were a poor family. My mother wasn't going to give me money to go to the Oaks Park. Anyway, they had a train down there. It was the Freedom Train in 1976. 4449 I think it is. I did it before COVID, but my wife didn't want me. Then there were two or three hundred little kids to get sick. So I skipped it on COVID and now I just do it on a restaurant here. Original Pancake House here on Barbara Boulevard. If you're local, you probably know where that is. And I have an elf that followed me from the train. And so she helps me with it. I just do it at a restaurant now. I've got a kind of a bad back sore. I just have to put a chair in there. I can have the kids come and sit on my lap or take pictures. I don't make any money on it. Well, I get a free breakfast. Anyway, I don't read. I don't get any pleasure out of reading. I don't begrudge people who do. Well, I would listen probably to audio books. Unless I'm going to go on a quiz show and need to know about stuff. I don't read. I read one book when I was a freshman in high school, and I used that for my book report all four years. I used the same book and it was a small book. I think it was called Passing. It was a black kid that was passing for white. So a lot of people probably have read that. Anyway, I haven't read the newspaper since 1969 because most things I read in the paper that I knew anything about were they had it all jacked up or whatever. They said the Mets won the World Series in 1969. I knew they were lying. KB7TVW, back in that.
