Hello everyone. This is Bill, KN4CWC, Capitol Hill Seattle. So it occurred to me the other day because I'm working on a little project to bridge Discord, a voice chat and text chat app that was originally designed for gamers and is now just used by all sorts of people. Anyway, I'm working on a project to bridge that into the phone system. I operate a Discord chat with some friends and also a phone system. So I'm working on a project to bridge those two together. And it occurred to me that I could technically, although whether doing this would be legal, feasible, or even a good idea is an exercise best left to the reader, but it occurred to me that I could bridge using the same technology Discord to the ham radio using All Star because my system uses SIP, Session Initiation Protocol, which is a standard for connecting various telephone systems and Internet systems and things together. But All Star also supports it for connecting telephone auto patches. So I could connect my Discord auto patch into All Star, just a completely and totally ridiculous idea that I thought perhaps some people on the net might appreciate.
