You know one UKC this is KC to PTG Eastern China's me and I was listening to an interview with JB Pritzker the governor of Illinois and this morning and talking about what ice is doing and And just you know, I mean, I think he characterized it. Well, it's indiscriminate And he was he made the comment which I thought was storytelling that you know We now have to carry our papers Everywhere we go. Now. I live on the border with Canada and I have my passport lives in my bag Right next to my wallet and because I I feel like I should be able to cross that border anytime I want But you know, nobody is grabbing me You know binding me up and then throwing me in a van some some person without a uniform Nobody's gonna probably do that to me because I'm white And it's really it's really deeply offensive Honestly, it really is that we treat people like that. And by the way Just so that you all know US law specifies that even if you're an illegal immigrant you get a hearing in a trial and you have rights in the same rights, so That's I mean, that's the law and what's going on here and what's raised a lot of hackles is that people are For a while there. They were just getting grabbed bagged and put on a plate and they can fly you anywhere they want that's what's really happened the in LA a Judge a federal judge, you know stop them from grabbing anybody. They felt like they had to have reasonable cause to do it And so they couldn't do that men went to the Supreme Court as we heard before and they have stayed that ruling They haven't changed it but as of right now they can keep doing that Which is Abominable It's just abominable that you know, they can just feel like they can grab anybody they want and so they are profiling people and that is Awful, it's just really awful and it You know, yes, they're here illegally and I can make you a great argument why that's not such a bad thing Because they're adding the economy they're paying taxes, even though they may never benefit from them. They still have to pay taxes So, who do you think is paying from Social Security a? Lot illegal people are putting in they have to pay the tax anyway, but they can never claim it unless they become a citizen So and they it really is going to be a big impact on the economy Because they're doing jobs, they're doing the work, they're spending money, they're paying taxes, they're doing all this other stuff And this is a significant fraction of the people who live in the United States
