It's a good thing and like you say if you ever run out you got the car right there to keep it going. I was a kid, we had a cottage. It was built on cinder blocks. It was down in Salem, Connecticut on Gardiners Lake. We didn't have power because the power was like a half a mile away. It was just a little cottage. I wired the whole thing so it could run off at 12 volts. All the light bulbs were 12 volts inside the place. We had a 12 volt TV, black and white TV, this is back in the 70s. It had a CB radio scanner. It had everything, you know, just like being home. The whole place ran at 12 volts. Except we didn't have any hot water. That was the only kick back. That would have taken too much use.
