The general working range time once we get them is like 8 to 10 years. Or if they reach 10 and start showing signs of health issues that would warrant, you know, if the dog slows down or has issues, not wanting to do the job, anything that would tip it off that would cause retirement, then that's what we would do. If it was close to the age mark, otherwise sudden conditions, not much you can really do about those, but it's typically 8 to 10 years before we have to go and get another dog and we can choose to keep the dog if the policies at the time allow for it. On the last policies I signed, I could have kept her. In fact, I was going to arrange to do that, but before we could do that, she did her thing. But you know, she's in a better place, so I know she's hopping around and getting in the way and doing whatever she likes doing up there.
