Mars is setting about 830 pm this week. Look for Mars low to the west in the evening about 30 minutes after sunset. Mars is in the constellation of Virgo shining at magnitude 1.6. Then we've got Jupiter. Jupiter is rising about 145 am this week. Look for Jupiter to the south in the early morning hours before dawn. Jupiter is in the constellation of Gemini shining at magnitude minus 2.0. And Saturn will be at opposition on the 21st rising as the sun sets. Saturn is now rising about 745 pm in the evening. Let's see. This week. Look for Saturn low to the east in the late evening. Saturn is at its best viewing for the year. Saturn is in the constellation of Pisces shining at magnitude 0.6. Saturn is actually, you're not going to see much ring action this week. The ring system is almost nearly edge on. So it's a very very thin line across the whole planet. But right now you may be able to see Saturn's largest moon Titan. Or at least its shadow passing across the face of the planet. One of those passes is occurring on September 20th at about 2.30 am Eastern Daylight Time. So we'll unite out on the 30th late and check that out. We're here at 1230 am on that particular evening. It's always interesting to watch the transits of the moons across the face of Jupiter and Saturn for sure. This of course obviously over Saturn.
