I forgot to mention the Santa thing. I play Santa. I used to do it on a train here in Portland area, Oaks Park. But my wife didn't want me down there with 200 little kids during COVID, so I didn't do it. I just do it at the restaurant now. I don't do any Santa until after Thanksgiving. We live 600 feet off the main road here, so we don't put up any Christmas lights in the day because no one would ever see them. They can't see them from the road. So I put a couple of tin soldiers or something down there by the mailbox. But that's about all the Christmas that we put up. I saw Christmas tree in Costco a week ago and also Halloween stuff. So I don't know, I guess business-wise they have to get out there early and get every sale, I guess. So that's okay. I generally go the day after the holidays and get the candy half price. And one of the local safery stores here after Christmas, they let me have the leftover candy canes. So I don't have to buy candy canes to give out to the kids when I'm Santa. That works out pretty good. I don't think I need to get any more this year because I've still got plenty left over. I don't think candy canes really ever get old. That's good. Anyway, that's my two cents, KB7PVW.
