And the last here, I'll mention on this too, again, this is in 2024, and this is again at the Six Kids Hospital here in Toronto. It was discovered that there's a DDX53 gene, this is located on the X chromosome, which found to play a role in the development and functioning of the brain, but was not previously and definitively associated with autism. So they tested ten individuals with autism spectrum disorder and discovered that the DDX53 variants were maternally inherited and present in these people. Most were male. And this signifies the gene's possible role in male predominance seen in autism spectrum disorder. I think autism affects more males than those females. On the same X chromosome, scientists found evidence of another gene, PTCHD1AS, that could be involved in autism. A study showed that a male and his mother, both with autism, had a specific gene deletion with a DDX53 in some parts of the PTCHD1AS. So the reason I brought this up about the autism tonight, there's many, many aspects of what lies behind autism and not just one specific thing. And more and more research has to be done to define exactly what's going on and what's going on with these genes and possibly how to reverse it or prevent it from happening in the first place.
