In 2024, there was a report that was published in JAMA, the Journal of American Medical Association, that assessed more than 2 million children born in Sweden between 1995 and 2019. 185,000 of those born to women who had used Tylenol sent medicines during pregnancy. Data compared rates of autism between kids not exposed and found that acetaminophen used during pregnancy was not associated with elevated risk of autism, attention deficit, hyperactivity disorder, or any other neurodevelopmental disorders.
