And there was a cold front that also brought some heavy spring snow to Tasmania. Don't forget as you go further south you get closer to Antarctica. So Tasmania is an island that's removed from the continent and because of its latitude it tends to be more impacted by a cold blast coming from the southern polar area so or the Antarctic I should say. So yeah so they actually had some snow in parts of Tasmania especially at the higher elevations and they've also had some wintry blasts that brought snow to the Victorian Highland County and that was at the end of August moving into early September.
