Well first I'm going to say Mike congratulations and welcome to the hobby. Glad you got your heart situation under control there. So you can get that license and come out here and join us. We're so thankful for that. I do want to tell you about a net that you may be interested in Mike. Also I am in Great Vine Texas. I have a little bit cooler weather today for us. So I'm right next to DFW airport. About two miles from my house. Anyway the Absolutetech. They have a website called Absolutetech.org. We are on every Tuesday evening on Fireside. I think it's on Alaska as well. It is a tech group. Sometimes I do the new ham net there. They have a wonderful link page on their website. If you scroll down to the bottom it says new ham info. Click on that and check that out. Also we do have other nets with Fireside. I don't know if you've downloaded Echo Link yet. I'll talk about that in a minute. Fireside is another network. F-I-R-E-S-I-D-E-N radio. Fireside radio dot org. That's another website you can check out. That gentleman does run the Absolutetech net as well. Also if you haven't signed up for QRS yet, they give away a radio called the Jump Start Program. The radio is like $21. It's made by Giga Parts. It's a pretty good radio so you want to check that out too. They are using Echo Link mic.
