AJ5IRQ this is KC2PKG and you know I set up my own virus X room I don't know about five seven years ago with it's the SCU 200 or something like that that box it hooks to any yay-su radio and never used it never use it you know I got it all set up it all worked and then I went into a condition I call ham void where I'm like yeah I don't know I'm not really interested in this anymore and and another way that condition can get to you is that you try something really adventurous you're gonna build everything yourself you're gonna do all these things and you know it'll be a wonderful adventure and then you get stuck and it starts to eat all your time and you finally just sort of walk away from it going I'll get back to that I'll get back to it I have my hand check is full of projects that I'm going to get back to wait about five years and then start throwing stuff away I just wanted to say something else about node ventures no adventures has a secret weapon and his name is Jerry Philby he's the guy who writes all the software and he's the guy who will get back to you usually within an hour when you have a question and it'll be clear concise he knows the product backwards and if you look at that code you may not have seen the app that runs on your phone to make that but it is elegant and you're gonna spend your time exploring digital modes and all the ham waves and and everything lots of different frequencies and that kind of stuff and rooms and all that stuff rather than gee whiz why is this overheating why is this to a test you know so you're absolutely right it is sort of the Apple of nodes it's very high quality and he knows it but you can read on the website how we talk about node ventures and just how good the equipment is and how good he is so that's that's my final word on that getting help this is your ham radio club that's what I finally decided I brought to a couple of international ham radio clubs and this is the one I like the best this is the most knowledgeable this is the friendliest this is the one who's interesting so this is my club the dude drop in or the cowabunga net but that this is my club back to you kj5 IRQ avoid ham Boyd this is Casey to PKG
