KN4LDF, this is KJ5IRQ. I may have a solution for you. I'm trying to find it right now. There is a cell phone not made here and it's called a ULEPH, I'm sorry, ULEPH, I can't talk today, uniform, Lima, Echo, Foxtrot, Oscar, November, Echo. They make a phone, I think it's a 26 is the one I'm thinking of and it looks like they have some ring phones. But there's a phone, something 26 made by them that is part cell phone, part ham radio. It has a 2 meter, 70 centimeter transceiver built into the cell phone. It's probably not exactly what you're looking for, ham radio to text messaging, but if you can do it both on the same device, that pretty much does the same thing in my mind. I don't know if you're interested. I think you can buy them straight up, oh gosh, $4,500, $600, something like that. Could be very off in the past. I haven't looked at them in a long time.
