All right, KGA5 IR2, this is KC2PKG with all the answers. The first radio I would get is the Quan Shan UV5 and then parentheses 8 because it's 30 bucks. And it does every frequency you can imagine. It doesn't have a GPS, doesn't do APRS, but the best part is it's reprogrammable. And there are a number of firmwares for it. And if you go to DoDropIn on the Discord, we had a big discussion about it. And for a while, and a lot of people got them. And it's just a really versatile radio. It's got great sound. And while you're fooling around, for 30 bucks, you can have a brand new radio. And you'll like it, I guarantee it. Now if you want to use digital modes, you have to make a decision up front. I mean, if it's Icom, then you're talking about D-Star. And that's proprietary to them. It's really hard. I think Kenwood does D-Star as well, but you're probably going to end up with an Icom. If you want Fusion, then YESU has some fantastic handheld radios. And I'm looking around for it. It's upstairs. Too bad. They really do. And they're small. They're submersible, which I think is good. You can get them wet. It doesn't hurt them. And they do Fusion. And they're also wide open to be able to do all sorts of stuff on. So now the quenching can be modified to transmit on anything it receives, any bands. The YESU, nope, not so much. And you'll probably have to pull a chip out. I don't know how you feel about that. But there is a zero resistor in a hole on the YESU radio that I'm trying to think of, but I can't quite think of it. You pull it out, and it changes it to a European style, which I like. There's much more to do. It's also called the Mars mod. So if you're looking for a handheld, that's great. Let me drop it for a second. I got another idea.
