He had a thermostatic T-valve that controls the flow of the water going to the house and through the boiler so that you don't have cold water coming back to the boiler. And they're famous for the element inside screwing up and then it doesn't open. And you don't get any heat in the boiler just short cycles because it heats up really, really quick. So I told him how to isolate everything and he popped that element out and turned everything back on and poof, he's got heat.
