Well, hey there Dave, sorry. It seems that the toggle button has failed me, so I've got to hold down the button. This DV switch app can be a little temperamental. But anyways, I do have some steel wool that I had picked up just for that purpose. So that will be used. The plan, the big plan here, on the back steps of the house there's these holes that the rats have kind of chewed in between the house and the stairs where there's a little gap that kind of chewed up the wood and worked their way in underneath there. The plan is to coat the edges of the hole in silicone, shove it down deep as far as I can get it into the hole, and shove as many of them in there as I can, and then seal up the top of it with this spray foam that I'm going to go get from Lowe's. So that's the plan. Then we'll work on painting it and making it look very aesthetically pleasing from the outside so that you don't even realize that there was a repair there. But yes, the steel wool is the plan. It's just sealing all the little cracks and things on the outside. Whoever built this house, when they put in, I don't know what it was, they redid the water heater here at the house. And when they did, there was this big hole that probably was a window at one point that they sealed up with just a patch of drywall on the outside of the house. This is a big square on the outside of the house that looks like a window, but it's just plain drywall. And it wasn't sealed. They didn't even paint it, so it's slowly deteriorating. So that's a whole other project that has been put on the back burner that will need to be dealt with eventually because it is crumbling. It's been there for probably four years and it's held up so far. But every winter, the condensation from the water heater dripping down turns into a big block of ice. That ice falls off, takes a chunk of the drywall with it. So it's been getting worse and worse. And so it needs to be replaced with just a sheet of plywood or something and then painted over and sealed properly. So I'll throw it back to you. KJ7WQI.
