well okay I've got on headphones here I'm listening to CKNW and just kind of cycling like taking the one headphone off just so I can hear the link here and let's see there was some interesting questions on the screen well EMR and all-stars are just different modes and they're just you know they're interchangeable and usable so just like peanut even like echo link and IRLP so depending on your favorite whatever works for you better on your phone because let's face it that's where it's going if ham radio street think of ham radio as being streamed right you don't actually really need a radio almost just like FM and am radio is streamed right you know what the hell is that oh you are you almost okay I thought the air was gonna come on you almost I don't want it to it's like 19 degrees we don't need it you almost don't even need a radio for that right because you're using you got I heart tune in like on my phone I can bring up CFRB I can bring up CFRA so Toronto Ottawa hell I can bring up KFBK in Sacramento so ham radio you know the writings on the wall eventually one day that's what it'll be most of us will be lamping with headphones and these moles are all the rate right so you think of like regular radio how many things you have that play radio stations you have the radio player app you have to an end you have the free pull online free player app which I use by the way you have seek seeker app right and some things connect to I heart there's I heart individually I heart pimping themselves out to two men's kind of you know catching up so there's so many players right and then there's directories and things that take you to those players you've got the global player app you know for your UK and your overseas Australia all the rest of it well it's kind of like the same with ham bones right you have your echo link and all the rest of it as well and it's almost to the point that all you're gonna need to get on ham radio is is Wi-Fi a half decent internet connection good data and then that's it they might actually change the phrases one day they might call it ham well the word does exist but they might seriously call it ham stream or ham net right because even now right like and I'm speaking for myself right I'm not dictating for anyone else but even for me going back to an HT and worrying about batteries and making sure they cycle with charge or they'll die it's just our Kayak now right it just seems antiquated like getting even getting on a chap where I gotta be stationary at the station it's kind of archaic to me because I'm used to walking around hell I'm used to talking in the washroom the little portable headphones the little the little cordless stuff the Bluetooth stuff takes mad precedence over a big ass amplification mic and the big radio right because I have I still have an MC 60 and my 10 wood 570 I know there's cordless mics I just don't have that configured for that so it's just annoying right because I'm just so used to even when someone's talking I'm used to kind of tuning away while they're talking I mean y'all do that to me that's fine you can't do that when you're on a chef you're almost held hostage because you can walk away from somebody and then they say over to you right and it's always on purpose right you always find someone that's long-winded like Sean Gartley and then just when you least expect as you figure okay he's good enough for me to go have a shower right and then over to you Kevin so I don't know I feel like on a chef I'm being held hostage like I'm in bondage I don't have that feeling when I'm on vo IP right I'm usually on little headphones and I can just literally take you with me and if you're on and on like what I'm doing right now it's no big deal I can put up with that too and still be on the radio but when you're on and on like I'm doing now on like let's say 20 meters I can't move from this spot so I just feel like I feel like a caged bird so I don't really like that so any more now I think we got to get used to these moments yeah the guys on the screen were just earlier we're just kind of talking about Bentley wanted to just kind of somebody to drop the science in kilo kilo seven he wanted somebody to kind of drop the science on the different low Washington so I thought I would take the time to some of it now anyone else that would like to check in when we get to the top
