M5-LGM. Yeah, it's been fine. Yeah, I think I made that first contact on Morse code so far. Activated my first park and activated my first bunker when we went to visit showing. Yeah, back to you, Gray. This is repeater station Kilo Kilo 7 November- Alright, I'm glad you're joining us. VA3KKY, are you short time here tagging this morning? This is KC2PKC, how was your weekend? Well, one and done at least anyways. Yeah, I've got to get to work. It was exciting to do the net yesterday. I guess you didn't hear it because I know Bill was on, I know a few others were on. I hope so because the few others was the audience. And so we persevered. Nobody said anything to me whatsoever until about maybe 7.38. And then the only indication I had that, you know, like it was all systems go for me was I had asked Josh on the screen if he was up next and he said, can you please do it? And so that was my indication there but otherwise up until then, like pre-net and all that stuff, I thought it was looked after. So yeah, you guys need to have a signaling system of some sort. But at least I was on top of it and I caught it this time. I might not other weeks, right? Other weeks I might be half asleep or whatever. And then, you know, all that dead air go for nothing. So, yeah, so yesterday went off without a hitch, at least I hope people think so. And yeah, Randy, my examiner, V3AW, used to have fun of all my CB woes. So when I repeat the things that he says, it was things that he said to me, right? Like I loved some of the subculture talk of CB. He hated it. Hated it. And so at times I used to kind of use it to taunt him. And like stuff like first personal, he hated that. He hated stuff like, what's your 20, man? And a phrase that's changed in the years, it used to be give me a landline was just give me a phone call. But now it's a type of landline, right? It's like, baby, cell phones and landlines. But it used to be, you would say give me a double L or give me a landline. Now, I don't know, I guess just give me a call. He hated the 10 codes because there was a lot of them that were lame. Where like if somebody said give me a 1036, he would say, why don't you just ask for the time? Or they'd say, I got to go. I'm going to do a 10-100. Well, quite frankly, I don't need to know what you're going to do, Kevin. So, yeah, I used to taunt the hell out of them with that. So, of course, you guys are now blessed with the things he said to me, as I say to you. You know, because I'm not exactly a nitpicky, but he certainly was. He hated anything to do with that stuff. If I called it a power mic, he would correct me. It is not a power mic, Kevin. It's a, what did he say it was? Like, what did he say it was? He said it was like an amplification mic or an HF mic. Power mic just simply means, like I don't know what his problem was. Power mic just simply means that you don't have to stand right in front of it, right? You can stand a little bit of a ways from it, like a Turner Plus or a Silver Eagle, right? Like, you can key it up and the person down the street can be heard, right? You know, that's what power mic is, but I don't know. He just felt some type of way if I said that. So, I used to just bug the shit out of them with CB phrases, just because I knew it annoyed them. Randy Nelson, VE3WRN. So, that's the styles there, but hey, anyways, you guys have a good Monday. I'm sure you'll get into your, I don't know, I'll probably miss it. Unless you say, I'm sure you'll get into what you'll get into. But anyways, I hope you guys approved of yesterday and we'll play it like that. I'll see what goes on tomorrow. Maybe you might hear me again or you might hear a smooth net. I don't know. Tell us and we'll both know, as corny as that sounds. Okay, take care. Have a good one and back to you, Gray. Hi and bye, VE3KKY. Good Labor Day.
