Among numerous lifetime achievements, Thomas Jefferson oversaw the purchase of the Louisiana Territory in 1803 and founded the University of Virginia in 1819. Daniel Morgan Boone, the son of famous frontiersman Daniel Boone, was responsible for the design plans of Jefferson City in the early 19th century. Never knew that Daniel Boone's boy was a designer.
