Scientists, they extrapolated that our follicles must have come from something like Thea during the collision about 4.5 million years ago. And research for this, this new research was published August 1st for the very reason in the journal Science Advances. And coming up on November 15th in the journal Icarus, there's another study that proposes Thea brought lots of water to our planet, which is still seen in the mantle. It looks so interesting, though. This is that the mantle material is dense. It's dense in the water, so water should have come to the crust or entered the oceans long before now. So it's likely that not enough time has passed for the water to have been released. But it's expected to at some point in time.
