So tissue, a little bit of background here, tissue contains collagen. And the cornea is one of those that contains that. And the tissue in the eye has oppositely charged components that attract, it's almost like magnets, magnetic poles. By sending electric charge through the tissue, it alters the pH value and makes them more acidic. So changing the pH in the tissue loosens the attraction between the oppositely charged components, making them moldable. So stopping the full electricity, the tissue regains its pH value and firms up again. So researchers use a platinum contact lens as a template to correct the cornea shape on a rabbit thigh. And when the electric current was sent through the platinum contact lens, for about a minute, the rabbit thigh molded around the artificial lens. Yeah, but I'll just mention here, none of the eyes of the rabbits were harmed during this test.
