No, no, no. I use steel rods that go into the ground to hold the bird feeders up. And what this will do is go through them. It'll be robbed in the inside and it'll go on the outside. It'll be attached to the top and it'll hang down to about two feet off the ground. As the squirrel climbs up the pole, the metal round rock pole, it has to jump on the slinky about halfway out. The slinky takes them right down to the ground.
