Thank you for the welcome. Yeah, I got a ham radio from my late grandfather in 4JA. He was an ARRL section manager for South Carolina. He was also a Georgia repeater coordinator and he also ran a radio station and he always played around with electronics as I was growing up. Unfortunately, he passed back in 2014 from a fall from his radio tower. His death kind of pushed me to go ahead and become a ham because he had let me play around on the radio with him as I was growing up and he would control the mic and let me talk to people on the other side and he was always trying to get out to the furthest contact he could make and it just always interested me and now that I'm older and have time and a little money to throw at the hobby, I'm just digging in and I'm always listening.
