and shot my radio license at the time. My dad's brother was a CB'er and he never could understand the difference between ham radio and CB. He was involved in REACT and he said they provided service as well. But yeah, he never could really understand that wow, like preferred ham radio over CB. Anyway, my wife got her ham radio license not too long after I got mine. But she let it lapse. She was all wrapped up with the kids. We had five kids. So she was all wrapped up with five kids and the lapse at that time was only four. And she didn't have time for ham radio so she let it lapse. But then when the kids had one left and he was in high school, she wasn't involved with his school work anymore and all that kind of stuff. She decided she wanted to go ahead and get her license back and now she's more involved in ham radio than I am. So things come around and go around.
