K4HM, net WHSR, my story hasn't changed in the last 55 years. Cut Scout reading Boys Life magazine and looking at hammer linder helicopter ads. Always interested in the fascination of short waves so a local TV repair shop had one used in the window. My mom bought it for me. Then later on, years later I visited that TV repair shop and the guy had a big galouse of a globe came transmitter. Sitting in the room, back away from the front business part and he took me back there and I got the experience of 75 or 80 feet meter AM and that was it. As often is the case on these Thursday nights, I don't stay in for long, it's past my bedtime and it's early these days so I will listen to the amount of net that I can. Enjoying your stories.
