So what they do know for certain Mars at one point did have liquid water, had oceans, water still present on Mars. A lot of it subsurface somewhere on the south in Northern North, over the southern Gulf. There was no water there. And once they were able to bring back some samples on Earth, we'll get a better idea whether life is there or whether some of covalent is still there.
