were recorded in the Royal Society's massive scientific report on this event. Obviously, it was a pretty big deal. Everywhere ships, captains, lighthouse, keepers, missionaries, astronomers, meteorologists, and citizens wrote down what they saw and when they saw it, taken together the reports allowed scientists to follow the volcanic haze across continents' endocions. So, Krakatoa was a question too large for one science to answer, understanding it required geology to explain the shattered island oceanography to understand this tsunamis, physics to follow the pressure wave, meteorology to trace the upper atmosphere and wind. Chemistry, though, identified the volcanic aerosols, astronomy to explain the transformed sunlight. And what happened in the sky.
