My grandmother, the first member, she was one strange cat. They lived out in Arkansas, they had a farm, they didn't eat anything. They ate vegetables out of the garden, and all the meat was squirrel, possum, deer, that kind of thing. I remember the first meal that I sat down with them, and she opened her mouth and pulled out her teeth. She had them on the table, and she started eating. You'd think she'd keep the teeth in to eat, but she claimed she didn't get the right amount of flavor with the false teeth, so she would take them out and eat them down. But we would have to sit at that table, it was kind of this deal where you eat your meal and you stay there until everyone's done. And it would take her an hour and a half to two hours to get her meal. And it was the grossest thing I ever saw in my life.
