I am indeed, Joan, and it looks like I'm hitting the voterscope pretty good here on the J-Pole inside the garage tonight as the bugs have started to come out again. But today was a good day when visitors, my grandpa probably for the last time, said goodbye. It was a good goodbye. He was mostly sleeping the whole time. And then crawled up in the loft, pulled out a QRP Tixie CW 40m 7.023 MHz rig that I had soldered together a couple of years ago. I realize now that I soldered a couple of things backwards, so that would explain why it didn't work when I tried it previously. So hopefully I didn't burn anything out on that, but I will try and find a soldering gun, re-soldering those pieces, and see if I can get that thing running. That will be fun. I still need to learn my CW. I'm not quite as skilled. I have to look at a sheet, so I'm going to be doing that. Eventually I'll get there, especially if I go for my General. I pulled that out and got that ready. I'll start packing the bags because tomorrow night around 11pm I'm going to be flying back. I have the days mixed up. I thought I was flying back tonight. I'm flying back tomorrow over to New York to do my every 18 months training to be re-qualified as a flight attendant. It's been a good day. I've got a little bit of a stifle going on that I did just because we introduced a new cat to the house who we have now named Tigger. Like the Disney character. Tigger's wonderful things. The top tomato, the rub-a. That's what's been going on up here. It looks like the chair pulls in quite well here in the garage, so I might stick with that set up in the future. As long as you can all hear me pretty well. I'm pegging out Lake Forest Park. Pretty good so far. I do need to get a barrel connector for the SMA so I can get my longer cable hooked up and hopefully convince my folks to let me mount the J-Pole up on the house. That's going to take some testing and find the right spot. Thank you John for running the net. I've almost used up my three minutes so I will throw it back to you. Everyone have a wonderful night. Remember to be grateful. KJ7 WQI. .
