So yes, I reside here in Marysville, Washington. I've had a very, very long weekend, lots of gigs and stuff with a birthday event at the Rainier Club in downtown Seattle there on Friday. It was a very bougie candlelight dinner for a small group of people and we played music for a couple hours there. I will say this, it was very interesting. I think they counted there was something like 400 candles in this room and they had to turn off the air conditioning because it would blow out the candles. And I'm not joking, I think it was like 96 degrees in this room. It felt like hot yoga. It was insane. Everyone was dressed in formal wear, including us of course. It was probably the hottest gig I've ever played in my life. It made my strings go out of tune, we were constantly retuning and stuff. Oh my gosh, when we were done we were so happy to leave that room. It was so hot. Anyway, yesterday was a nice wedding over at Willow's Lodge. That was lovely. It was also outside. Very hot, but at least we were in the shade. It wasn't as hot as tonight before in that room. And then today we played a backyard garden event for some friends and stuff. There were probably about 60 people there. Also very warm, but we had a nice little tent and stuff. Everything went off very well there. Three gigs in three days. Definitely a little exhausted here and stuff, but always fun to get out there and play some music and stuff. Back to work this week. I think I'm going to have a wedding on Friday and then going to the Monroe Fair after that.
