I repeat this each week because there are those that are listening on broadcast if I haven't tested and won't do. And if you haven't upgraded in a while, you're ready to upgrade, maybe you forgot what you need. This week this applies to wherever you test, wherever you test, and this is what you will need. You will need a picture ID. You will need a good email address. ACC contacts you through this email address. They give you 10 days to respond. If you don't respond, they don't either. You will need an FRN number. We're an ARRL test team, so there is a $15 test fee. If you're 18 or older, 7, 10 or under, it's a $5 fee and it's in a night net. We'll pick that up for you. The Tri-State Club and the Scenic City Club, they're both not ARRL fees, so they're testing. They don't charge anything for their testing. Be sure to check out the IMG website, the lmarc.net. Click on Resources and Tools. Get all the information you need. If you're trying to program a new radio or whatever, he's got the local repeaters, their frequencies, their tones, everything you need to know. He's got it on that URL and he does keep it upgraded. If you've been to that website and if you're on here, if you're listening to this, you've been to that website at some point in your life, it's absolutely terrible. It's the dumbest, stupidest thing ever been made. But if anybody ever gets hung up on that, just holler at one of us and reach out to us and we'll try to walk you through it. But like Ray just said, you've got to do your part. Number one, you've got to check your emails. And number two, there's two websites you've got to go to. So write the password down. Write the password down. You go to one site to do it, one site to pay for it. You're completely ignorant. But write. I don't know what to tell you to do with it, but do something with it. Write it down, put it in a drawer, do something. It's stupid, but it's the way it is and there's nothing you're going to do about it. But if you get to a point where you need help, reach out and one of us will reach out to you and try, try to walk you through it. But we can't help you if you don't know your password, your email address, and all that information. So you've got to do your part. And I'm going to tell you, this is one point where they say ignorance is no exception of the law. Well, if you're ignorant when you set this up, you're done because I don't know what to tell you. Pay attention. That's all I'm saying. Pay attention. Write it down on a piece of paper. I can't imagine why anybody would want to hack your FCC license, but this ain't like your banking information. But write it down. And that FRN number is your Social Security number for the rest of your life as far as the FCC is concerned.
