Hey, KK7KAG here checking in, doing really well, thank you very much for asking. I'm discovering, I can hand over a fist, these older commercial Motorola radios, I mean these are like 30 and 40 years old, but they perform so much better than even my more expensive Chinese radios. I don't have any Japanese radios, but I've got a bunch of Bao things, B-Techs, Q-I-Ps, Anytones, it just does not even come close to the performance of these old Motorola's from the 90's. I actually broke down last night and purchased another HD1000 in VHF so that I can have what I'm missing on the one or two repeaters that I use for VHF, man these things are just great. I cannot believe the performance on them, the sound quality is insane, I know people bag on Motorola and as a Public Safety Radio Administrator, I definitely bag on Motorola, but this stuff is amazing. Anyway, back to you guys, KK7KAG, have a great rest of your weekend. Well I would have to agree with you, that Motorola gear is quite incredible. I've got an NTR 3000 repeater and it is one of my favorite devices that I own. I did have boxes of some of the old 9000 series stuff and I pawned all that off to my friend Jamie, who is hopefully finding new and better homes for it or disassembling it for bits and pieces. I think I still got quite a bit of miscellaneous Motorola gear floating around the garage. One of the estates that I did, the gentleman worked for, I think it was DNR and had this just, I mean I loaded a box truck full of gear, most of it Motorola, which includes two, probably from the 60's Motorola repeaters, a 10 meter and a 6 meter repeater. One of these days I'll get the time and the energy and the strength to disassemble them and turn them into just storage cabinets because the cabinets are absolutely gorgeous, but unfortunately the components inside of them are so old I'm pretty sure they don't work anymore. At least that's my assumption, I tried to give them away and nobody wanted the gear. Everyone just wants the repeater cabinets and we won't get rid of those. But yeah, a lot of good stuff about their product, I really do enjoy it. I've got a couple of newer XPR radios that I eventually want to get mounted into our rigs. It's just time, I need to get the time to do it and they're not the simplest of projects to take on, so it takes a good chunk of time to do it, but I think I'm getting closer to doing that. Some more holes in Kami's roof is all I need to do and we'll get another antenna set up on there going. Anyway, thanks for checking in, very much appreciate it my friend and hope you have a great rest of your day. Next up we've got Mike, KV8, E-M-Y, how are you doing my friend?
