Oh, thanks for the call. I'm a junior so my mother used John and Jack to differentiate us when she was trying to round up the family for a child. I'm running an Icom 9700, 10 watts out to a brand new antenna that I received from Amazon. Yesterday it's a 440 folded dipole. I just taped it to the window of my seventh floor retirement community apartment here in Doyle Sound which is the county seat of Bucks County, Pennsylvania, just north of Philadelphia by 3540 miles. I ran an SWR check on both this antenna and the Moonraker dual band mag mount that I've been using previously that works pretty well on top of another radio here in the shack. But I'm interested in exercising this new folded dipole and seems to be working fairly well. So I'd appreciate a critical report on my signal and audio quality, etc. I just found this net while tuning around and wanted to exercise the new antenna. So I'm about 85 feet in the air so hopefully I'm full quieting. I don't know where this repeater is located but a buddy of mine programmed it into the 9700. Go back to net W2INF Junior.
