And it's not the longest stick insect in Australia, that goes to a crickantuous stick insect which grow to about 22 inches, 57 cm and lives in the same region as A. alta. However, this new one, A. alta, is heavier. One individual in the study weighed about 1.6 ounces, 44 grams, roughly double that of mature females in a crickantuous stick insect, filled with eggs. The researchers prove we can document it according to the study.
