a ferrodeoxyglucose. It accumulates in the the tumour tissue, the cancer tissue, and it emits a positron, and because our bodies are mainly water and other elements, and within those there's electrons. So positrons are the antimatter particle companions to an electron, and when they meet, they annihilate. And in the body, they look for concentrations of this annihilation, and that's how they're able to get the imaging on the computer. Now there's not enough of it there's not enough of this annihilation to go on that's causing any detrimental effects for people. It's minuscule, but there's enough there that makes a difference for the surrounding tissue. So that's PET scan.
