And in the sky this week, and 2 o'6 AM, Eastern daylight time here on the 23rd, today on Black Moon. This is a new moon. And this is just reference to the purpose of Black Moon, is reference to being a new moon phase, because you can't see it. The moon is positioned so it's between the Earth and the sun, so it's being quite reflected back toward the sun. We're just getting the darker face of the other moon. And it shares some characteristics with a blue moon in that it's not all that common. Like a blue moon, it can happen twice in a calendar month. So that's what we're getting. We get to new moons in one month, much like a blue moon. And that's simply because if a moon occurs on, let's say the 31st of a month, it's more likely to have two full moons that happen during that month. And that's simply because the blue moon cycle is 29.5 days. So going from a new moon to a full moon, 29.5 days. And because it was 31 days in some months, you're going to get some overlap there where you're going to get a, possibly a full moon, which is called a blue moon, and two of those in one month. And in this case, a black moon happening twice in one month. Blue moons can also refer to the fact that sometimes the moon does take on a bit of a blue hue, but that's generally not what they're talking about when referring to a blue moon.
