You put that under your hardwood floor and as it is silicone it provides a little bit of I guess lubrication isn't the right word but slippery and which keeps your wood floors from squeaking which is good when your house is a bajillion years old and I don't know when they made the change but house RHD joints are not as tall as they would be now so the floor is bouncing a lot more and stuff and it is structurally fine and you'll never either.
