I can touch the rope on a hot day and it used to be really hot on my hand. Now it's not even warm and it cuts down on the condensation too. Of course, leaving the vents open, I don't get any condensation in there. It keeps the temperature about the same as the outside. I think the temperature differences will get you that sweating. You roll it on, but how do you keep it from chipping over the edge? You put a tape around there to hold it on there. It's pretty thick. I've got the rough pieces and I've got these little aluminum radius pieces. Of course, I've got the metal siding. There's a little piece of molding or trim there where the joint is. I just roll it right up to that. You can probably roll the edges first and then just fill it in between. I've got one.
