So it did get me a job at least once, but optics technician in the Navy is kind of ET adjacent and we have had modules. We worked on gun sites and allodates and sex distance and binocular telescopes and optics. We had a phase of training that was about properly using different types of solder and even other things and doing electronics work and required which we required to learn to use silver solder properly as per the specs on some of the equipment that we serviced. And that's as simple as that and I saw that there was silver solder available so I decided to buy it. 0.3 millimeter will be some of the finest solder that I all have.
