One of my radios with me I already had an FT-857 but I never used it off-grid and on the power cable I soldered some like small alligator clips like you'd have on a jumper cable And I thought I would try that just to see what would happen and I did it and I never went back to anything else okay, and I did that with some of my power quartz for my other rigs and stuff for my two meter rigs and stuff And a couple other rigs I've had out there. I've made power cords and custom power cord that goes and just clamps onto the battery post and those were very good, but QRP off-grid with a wire That is that is like very painful.
