I'm getting excited and over-modulating. But anyway, as a musician, you understand how that works. But that's not the point. The point is, one of the songs that I'm rather taken with, it's the Decemberists, a new album as of last year. It came out last year, of course, I had to get it. But the title is, As It Ever Was, So It Will Be Again, and their ninth studio album. And the reception, this is out of Wikipedia, Metacritic, it was 76 out of 100, 14 reviews, indicating generally favorable reviews. Steven Dooser of Pitchfork noted the album was something of a, quote, return to form. And Eric R. Denton of Paste similarly noted the band's returning to a previous musical approach while calling the album fresh. To make a monitor of all music notes, the anthology, like Quality, suggesting the album plays like a musical overview of their career. But I'm especially taken with the finale. And Chris Deville of Stereogum describes the 19 minute finale, Joan in the Garden, inspired by Joan of Arc, as a slow burn. And he highlights unexpectedly sick ambient noise and monster riffs in the song. Anyway, so I was a little late to the net because I was listening through the whole 19 and a half minutes of Joan in the Garden. Very striking song and I've used up my time.
