Regardless of where you test, you will need a picture ID. You will need a good email address. Repeat this each week because that's how the FCC will contact you. If you don't answer that email address and send them their money or whatever, they do not send you another notification. That's it. One time, and it gives you ten days to respond, and that's it. You will need an FRN number. Since we're testing a session for the 8-RRL, then there is a $15 fee. If you're 18 or older, if you're 17 or under, the fee is $5. And the 79 net will pick up that $5 if you're 17 or under. The Tri-State Club and the City Club, their house is electronic. They're not affiliated with the 8-RRL, so their testing is free. Be sure to check out EMET's website, lmarc.net. Click on Resources and Tools, and you will find any information you need to know locally for repeaters. Like if you get a new radio and you're ready to program it, you can go to this website there and find out where all the local repeaters are, what their offsets, good information there.
