I'm an old ham, but I was out of the hobby for decades and I got back into it here like three years ago or so, about the same time Bill did, my co-host there. To me it was just a bit of magic. We just sort of sprinkled this magic dust onto the UHF VHSF system and now we can sit on our porch, look at the stars, and talk to someone in Hawaii.
