to see this actually happen. Scientists began studying NGC 4696. It's a large central galaxy in the Sintoros cluster. This is a dense collection of galaxies, 145 million light years from Earth. Observations showed an S-shaped structure closely at a galaxy center that is actually a rotating disc surrounding a supermassive black hole. And the structure stretches about 100 light years across, and some of the material is after velocity of about 600 kilometers per second. And jets produced by the act of black hole inject energy into a nearby galactic gas. After a while, some of the gas cools and becomes unstable, and this collapses into a controlment. As it falls inward, magnetic force has likely reduced its rotation and directed towards the center. This stuff then gathers NAS spinning disc around the black hole.
