Yeah, I was 110,000 years to see if the DNA can be extracted successfully. And it turns out that the small amount could be identified even from remains from the late Pleistocene. And that's a study that was published May 27th as a journal of quaternary science reviews. So it wasn't that long ago. When the oldest DNA extracted from various animals came from a partial molar originating from an African antelope called a mountain reed box found in Boonclaw, Boonclaw cave in South Africa. A older DNA came from 360 long corn buffalos to that died 20,000 years ago and went 12,000 years ago. So it shows now that the DNA under the right conditioners can survive multiple thousands of years.
