And likely, at least with the technology we have right now, never will. And it's far too weak to sort of the road across the void of space. So, to substitute, scientists use a laboratory equivalent putting together black hole analogs from flowing water and the older colds atoms. The other problem with black holes in their analogs is that what happens beyond the horizon is that here that under normal circumstances, nothing can escape. The horizon is a region where things are swept up in a current moving close to that of the speed of light or even at the speed of light. For the experiments, I had to try to attempt ultra short pulse into a photonic crystal fiber which allowed researchers to fine tune how the light moved through it. And as the pulse moved, it slightly changed how the glass bent the light and produced a moving speed bump. That's a cut along with it.
